I finally sat down and did some more quick recordings tonight. I haven't had much time to play at home for myself in the last few months with everything else that's going on, but hopefully I'll be able to arrage and write some things during the couple of weeks I have off in between semesters.
The first of these recordings, Tis so Sweet To Trust in Jesus, is an old gospel song I remember singing in church when I was really small. This fingerstyle arrangement is loosely based off of something I heard a local guitar player do on a cd. I changed some of it around though and added some things--hence the "loosely" part.
Blue Moon is my take of this song as performed on Tommy Emmanuel's Greatest Hits Acoustic CD. This is only part of the song as he performed it. Its a cool piece with a moving bass line and a few Atkins-style licks.
Somewhere over the Rainbow is pretty much my own arrangment. This was one of the first songs I tried to arrange myself. Its got pretty simple chord progressions and plenty of "donk, donk" bass lines!
All these were doing with, again, my trusty Taylor but this time ran through my RV4 SD Condensor mic. A little better quality now. I tried using a paragraphic EQ to get rid of some of the depth on the bass notes.
